Shanghai, as seen today, was built in approximately fifteen years. The old was swept away, and the replacements are the spectacular skyscrapers seen here.

Fort Greene is one of the most popular areas in Brooklyn at the present time. Brooklyn has grown during the last few years, encouraging people from many parts of the world to move there. One can find a cafe on almost every corner.

Childhood photo exhibit
The Texas Photographic Society has been planning for months an exhibit called "Childhood: An International Photo Exhibition," with Jamie Lee Curtis to jury.
Author of eight children's books, Jamie Lee Curtis describes her hopes for the photo exhibit with these words: "Childhood is fleeting – yet sometimes, in a fraction of a second, photographers can capture its essence: joy, pain, play, boredom, frustration, elation. As an author of children's books I have tried to capture what it feels like to be a child - the good and the bad - and to stimulate a dialogue between children and parents regarding the issues raised in the book. I hope to see creative work that captures childhood's many guises."
The exhibit began here at Austin's own Dougherty Arts Center on January 14th, and it runs locally until the 28th of January, when it begins to tour the state for the rest of the year.

DESATURATED SOUL
Desaturated Soul, published by Xlibris, has been launched. Press releases have gone out, and book signings are scheduled. Desaturated Soul will be available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other related online sites.
Desaturated Soul is available through Xlibris.com in a hard-covered book as well as a soft-covered book. Xlibris has published the 96 photographs on high-grade paper, and the prose is printed with raised letters.
Many of the photos have been accepted in juried exhibits.
A MOMENT IN TIME was reviewed in the New York Times. It was awarded first-place recognition in the 20th Annual Juried Photography Competition of the Smithtown Township Arts Council.

MINT TEA was accepted by Women In Photography International as part of the Tea Time exhibit in memory of Linda McCartney.
HIGH-SPIRITED has recently been selected as part of CHILDHOOD: AN INTERNATIONAL PHOTO EXHIBITION. THE JUROR IS JAMIE LEE CURTIS, AND THE EXHIBIT WILL TRAVEL FOR ONE YEAR WITH THE TEXAS PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY.
